This years totals: 17-6 (2-1 3 team parlays)
The NBA has a pretty solid slate of games tonight and it is headlined by a potential NBA finals matchup. The Raptors travel to Golden State Warriors and both teams seem to be healthy for the most part. Kawhi sat last night, but that appeared to just be rest and nothing serious. Enough of that let’s get to the picks.
Let’s start with that headliner I just mentioned. This seems like a spot where Golden State establishes themselves as the dominate force in the NBA. The Raptors are out on the West Coast and are playing the second game of a back to back. To me this game is lopsided from the jump and I anticipate all Warriors.
- The play is Warriors -6.5
- Final Score Warriors 124-109
The Grizzlies are a pain in the ass to play at home. For the past 15 years it feels like Memphis just refuses to give up triple digits at home. I think tonight is the same. It is against the Blazers who are also coming off a back to back and a lot of their key players played a lot of minutes in a tough loss to Houston last night. Also Portland often seems to go into these spurts where they can’t score. Tonight that just gets amplified against a Defensive minded Grizzlies team.
- The play is Memphis under 201.5
- Final score Memphis 98-91
The Thunder have figured it out. Getting rid of the impossible to win with Carmelo Anthony (never forgot Syracuse though) and a healthy Westbrook this team is actually playing very well. The Pelicans exploded onto the scene to start this year scoring 135 points seemingly every night to start the season but they have faded off and have fallen below .500. I like the Thunder a lot tonight.
- The play: Thunder -2
- Final: Thunder 119-113
My college pick of the night comes from two teams that just seem like they should only have football teams but instead they have two basketball teams that are playing pretty well. Especially, Houston. Led by their backcourt especially Corey Davis JR. they have a lot of experience and seem like a team that could be a tough out come time for the NCAA tournament. Houston comes into the game at 8-0 and I do not anticipate them getting their first loss this season especially not at home.
- The play Houston -4
- Final score Houston 71-61
