Purrell’s Picks and Parlays

The NBA has a weak slate of games without a marquee matchup due to the fact that both the Jazz and the Spurs kind of stink. My advice to this game is do not bet it. The Spurs have been wildly inconsistent. One game they lose to the Rockets by 30 and the next they hammer a solid Trail Blazers team. Neither team is dependable, but that is pre-Christmas basketball for ya.

Let’s get to the parlay

3 Teamer tonight with a small schedule

  • Take the Bulls under. Right now it is at 210 and rising. They just fired Hoiberg and this team is in full tank mode. Do not expect a spirited effort from a team that lost their coach. The last time these two teams it was 107-105 final in Early November with the Pacers coming out on top. I expect a much more lopsided game in Indiana.
    • Final Pacers 103-88
  • Portland +1. Portland has been struggling of late losing 4 of their last 5. Look for them to bounce back tonight against Dallas who had a good win against The Clippers on Sunday, but it was at the expense of Dennis Smith’s tooth getting knocked out by no surprise Patrick Beverly. It is anticipated he does not play tonight.
    • Final Portland 114-106
  • Kings -5.5. I still think the Kings are the most undervalued team in the NBA right now. They are playing good basketball and I do not expect that to change tonight against a bad Phoenix team. The Kings have one of the most balanced scoring attacks in the NBA. Six guys scoring in double figures allows for the team to compensate for someone having an off night. Kings Big.
    • Kings 119-101

College Lock of the Night

  • Miami plays at Penn tonight. This is a BIG game for Penn playing a team from the best conference in college basketball the ACC. The game is in Penn. Look for them to come out playing with energy. The play is Penn first half +3. Miami realizes in the second half they are far more athletic and wins the game. Maybe even a little something something on the first half money line.
    • First half Penn 33-29
